Welcome to the internet home of Acadiana Chapter 1490, Acadiana is the south-central part of Louisiana. Whether you fly, dream of flying, build, restore or simply enjoy airplanes and aviation, you are welcome to attend our events and join our chapter. We are a group of aviation enthusiasts, aircraft builders, student pilots, pilots, spouses, and friends who get together to share ideas, exchange information, encourage safety, serve the local community and have a lot of fun doing so. Join the fun! Come to our next meeting or event as our guest. Our membership is on the family plan, when one person joins the club, all members of the family are club members.
Our meetings frequently take place at the New Iberia Airport Administration Building, 1404 Hangar Drive, 70560, on the second Saturday of the month but not always. Be sure to check the "News and Events" page to verify time and place of the meeting as changes are made to accomodate other activities.
The "easiest" driving instruction to the airport administration building is to make your way to West Admiral Doyle Drive in New Iberia, exit on to Ember, proceed about 4 blocks and note the airport control tower in front of you, look a little to the right and see the fire station with 5 large doors, the administration building is attached to fire station.
For more information on our chapter, check the "Contact Us" page where information is provided.
